I live in St. Albert, a small town next to Edmonton, in Alberta. Canada.

I live in a townhouse that I own along with my boyfriend of three years, Scott, his dad and his brother. We have four cats (Jitzu, Torri, Doran, and Muffin.), a Gerbil named Indiana, a leopard gecko named Whiteling, and three toads.

I work at a pet store as a dog trainer. Since I tend to complain about my job I won't say which store, but I'm hoping to find another job very soon.

As it says in my 'profile' box over there I have a diploma in Library Technology. I'm looking for a job in a library. I may occasionally talk about a new book I've read, or how cool libraries are. It happens.

I WILL be talking about my cats on a regular basis, so I'll introduce them.

Jitzu, 5 years, Domestic Short Hair (DSH)
Jitzu is my 'problem child'. She's a sweety, but only to me. She gets along well with the boys, and is getting better with Torri, but it's touch and go. Just this week I cut the claws on her left paw for the first time since I've had her (4 years)!!! That is exciting.

Torri, 2 1/2 years, Domestic Medium Hair (DMH)
Little princess Torri is our smallest cat. She's maybe 5 1/2 lbs, wet. She is a little more nervous and uncertain than the others, and she's her daddy's girl. Torri is the only cat who is allowed to sleep in our room, mostly because she's the only one who wont hunt the gerbil.

Doran, 1 1/2 years, DSH
I found Doran when he was about 10 days old. I bottle fed him, litter trained him, and raised him onto the handsome boy he is today. He's my little cuddle-bug, and is a very mild mannered cat. He gets along well with all his kitty siblings, but especially with Jitzu.

Muffin, 1 1/2 years, DSH
Muffin is a big sucky boy. He's the biggest cat, around 15 lbs, and he's the friendliest with guests. He is a certified therapy cat, and is the kitty who likes to learn the most tricks. He loves to play jokes, and thinks his kitty-sibs are perfect targets.

Well, that's the kitties and me, so all that's left is the garden!

The other day I went and got a mini plant nursery, 50 dirt pucks. Today I planted them all.

3 grapefruit seeds (from an organic grapefruit), hopefully to be bonsai eventually!
7 apple seeds, more bonsai hopefuls.

Each herb variety has 5 pucks. Each puck has 3 seeds, so 15 seeds of each type. (and yeah, for anyone who knows me, I used a calculator :p)
-chives
-thyme
-rosemary
-parsley
-oregano
-basil
-sweet marjoram

Here's hoping they grow!

So, my intentions with this blog:
-plant updates weekly, hopefully by next week I'll have some sprouts to boast about
-kitty updates weekly, probably whenever something particularly interesting/cute happens
-occasional rants about work/finding a new job
-occasional info about random stuff (pet care, raw feeding cats, whatever I want to write about...ect)
-general stuff about me

And here's some cute kitty pics to finish off my first post in style!

Jitzu and Doran cuddling, cute :D

Jitzu, Muffin, and Torri sitting by the window

Pretty Torri sitting by her 'friend'
